Breath, breath, and breath again. ADHD children.
I’ve had a few interesting days at the school for young people with special needs, we’ve had a few new boys who have joined us and it’s very challenging at the moment. The children are very demanding and have a range of problems, from behavioural to emotional issues. I do feel though with hard work and lots of support the children will be able to develop and hopefully one day cope with the problems they carry. These are young people with lots of bad issues. It’s extremely hard work and very tiring. I wouldn’t change it for the world though.
I do hope that in the next 6 months a full time job comes around at the school, for now I’m looking to go back in to hotels as a manager. This isn’t my ideal solution, but for the time being it will be ok. I’ve always been determined to work with young people, and I won’t drift away from that. Not all the children at the school are diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, but 95% of them do have it. They are however diagnosed with other problems such as autism, asperger’s syndrome, etc. They all have severe emotional and behavioural difficulties.
I’ve really been enjoying my time at the school, and I will continue to do so!
I’m going on holiday to Cyprus for a week, so I won’t be updating my blog. I wish you all a great weekend and week, and I will update you all next week!
